How To Install libpcre++-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libpcre++-dev
libpcre++-dev is:
PCRE++ is a C++ wrapper-class for the library PCRE (Perl Compatible Regular Expressions).
Its class allows you to use perl alike regular expressions in your C++ applications. You can use it to search in strings, to split strings into parts using expressions or to search and replace a part of a string with another part.
There are three methods to install libpcre++-dev
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libpcre++-dev

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

How To Uninstall libpcre++-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libpcre++-dev
package we can use the following command:

To remove libpcre++-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libpcre++-dev
Remove libpcre++-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
