How To Install libpaps-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libpaps-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libpaps-dev
libpaps-dev is:
Paps reads a UTF-8 encoded file and generates a PostScript language rendering of the file. The rendering is done by creating outline curves through the pango ft2 backend.
This package contains the development files that are necessary to develop applications using paps API.
There are three methods to install libpaps-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libpaps-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libpaps-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libpaps-devInstall libpaps-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libpaps-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libpaps-devInstall libpaps-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libpaps-dev package we can use the following command:
