How To Install libpam-cgfs on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libpam-cgfs on Kali Linux.
What is libpam-cgfs
libpam-cgfs is:
LXCFS provides a FUSE based filesystem to improve the LXC experience within the containers.
This provides a Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) to provide logged-in users with a set of cgroups which they can administer. This allows for instance unprivileged containers, and session management using cgroup process tracking.
There are three methods to install libpam-cgfs on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libpam-cgfs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libpam-cgfs using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libpam-cgfsInstall libpam-cgfs Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libpam-cgfs using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libpam-cgfsInstall libpam-cgfs Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libpam-cgfs using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libpam-cgfsHow To Uninstall libpam-cgfs on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libpam-cgfs package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libpam-cgfsUninstall libpam-cgfs And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libpam-cgfs and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libpam-cgfsRemove libpam-cgfs Configurations and Data
To remove libpam-cgfs configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libpam-cgfsRemove libpam-cgfs configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libpam-cgfs configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
