What is libpam-blue

libpam-blue is:

pam_blue is a dynamically loadable binary object for the PAM security framework in Linux. It is presented as an extension for the common PAM modules, gives the user the ability for authenticate via a Bluetooth-compatible device like a cell phone or other bluetooth dongles (e.g. epox-presenter). Due to the fact that a whole part of the Bluetooth stack is implemented in hardware-side it is relatively difficult to change the Bluetooth hardware MAC address which makes this module more secure.

There are three methods to install libpam-blue on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

How To Uninstall libpam-blue on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the libpam-blue package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libpam-blue

Uninstall libpam-blue And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libpam-blue and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libpam-blue

Remove libpam-blue Configurations and Data

To remove libpam-blue configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libpam-blue

Remove libpam-blue configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libpam-blue configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libpam-blue
