What is libotb-apps

libotb-apps is:

ORFEO Toolbox (OTB) is distributed as an open source library of image processing algorithms. OTB is based on the medical image processing library ITK and offers particular functionalities for remote sensing image processing in general and for high spatial resolution images in particular.

This package contains the application plugins used by otb-bin(commandline) and otb-bin-qt(gui).

There are three methods to install libotb-apps on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libotb-apps Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
