How To Install libosl-doc on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libosl-doc
libosl-doc is:
OpenShogiLib (OSL) provides following features of Shogi playing programs, especially for Shogi programming study. Shogi is a Japanese two-player board game like Chess.
- Board: reading/writing records, generating legal moves etc.
- Evaluation function: piece values and a lot of features
- Hash table: hashing boards etc.
- Checkmate search: concurrent df-pn+ etc.
- Search framework: full-depth search, realization probability etc.
- Move category: mate, illegal moves etc.
- Opening book
- Gaming: search time control etc.
This package contains documents that Doxygen generates from OSL source files.
There are three methods to install libosl-doc
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libosl-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libosl-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libosl-doc

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libosl-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libosl-doc
Install libosl-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libosl-doc
using aptitude

How To Uninstall libosl-doc on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libosl-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libosl-doc
