How To Install libopus-dev on Kali Linux

What is libopus-dev
libopus-dev is:
The Opus codec is designed for interactive speech and audio transmission over the Internet. It is designed by the IETF Codec Working Group and incorporates technology from Skype’s SILK codec and Xiph.Org’s CELT codec.
It is intended to suit a wide range of interactive audio applications, including Voice over IP, videoconferencing, in-game chat, and even remote live music performances. It can scale from low bit-rate narrowband speech to very high quality stereo music. The current features are:

This package provides the Opus library headers and development files.
There are three methods to install libopus-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libopus-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libopus-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libopus-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libopus-dev using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the libopus-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libopus-devUninstall libopus-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libopus-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libopus-devRemove libopus-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libopus-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libopus-devRemove libopus-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
