How To Install liboop-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install liboop-dev on Kali Linux.
What is liboop-dev
liboop-dev is:
Liboop is a low-level event loop management library for POSIX-based operating systems. It supports the development of modular, multiplexed applications which may respond to events from several sources. It replaces the “select() loop” and allows the registration of event handlers for file and network I/O, timers and signals. Since processes use these mechanisms for almost all external communication, liboop can be used as a basis for almost any application.
This package contains the liboop development libraries and header files, required to develop and/or compile applications that use liboop.
There are three methods to install liboop-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install liboop-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install liboop-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install liboop-devInstall liboop-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install liboop-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install liboop-devInstall liboop-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install liboop-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install liboop-devHow To Uninstall liboop-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the liboop-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove liboop-devUninstall liboop-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall liboop-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove liboop-devRemove liboop-dev Configurations and Data
To remove liboop-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge liboop-devRemove liboop-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove liboop-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge liboop-devDependencies
