How To Install libodpic4 on Ubuntu 22.04

What is libodpic4
libodpic4 is:
Oracle Database Programming Interface for C (ODPI-C) is an open source library of C code that simplifies access to Oracle Database for applications written in C or C++. It is a wrapper over Oracle Call Interface (OCI) that makes applications and language interfaces easier to develop.
ODPI-C supports basic and advanced features of Oracle Database and Oracle Client. See the homepage for a list.
This package contains the C shared library needed to run programs that dynamically link to ODPI-C.
There are three methods to install libodpic4
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libodpic4 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libodpic4
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install libodpic4

Install libodpic4 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libodpic4
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libodpic4
How To Uninstall libodpic4 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the libodpic4
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libodpic4
Uninstall libodpic4 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libodpic4
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libodpic4
Remove libodpic4 Configurations and Data
To remove libodpic4
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libodpic4
Remove libodpic4 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
