How To Install libodb-pgsql on CentOS 7

What is libodb-pgsql
ODB is an object-relational mapping (ORM) system for C++. It provides tools, APIs, and library support that allow you to persist C++ objects to a relational database (RDBMS) without having to deal with tables, columns, or SQL and without manually writing any of the mapping code. This package contains the PostgreSQL ODB runtime library. Every application that includes code generated for the PostgreSQL database will need to link to this library.
We can use yum or dnf to install libodb-pgsql on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libodb-pgsql.
Install libodb-pgsql on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install libodb-pgsql using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libodb-pgsql
Install libodb-pgsql on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install libodb-pgsql using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libodb-pgsql
How To Uninstall libodb-pgsql on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the libodb-pgsql package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libodb-pgsql
