How To Install libocplib-endian-ocaml on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libocplib-endian-ocaml on Kali Linux.
What is libocplib-endian-ocaml
libocplib-endian-ocaml is:
Optimised functions to read and write int16/32/64 from strings, bytes and bigarrays, based on primitives added in version 4.01.
The library implements three modules:
- EndianString works directly on strings, and provides submodules BigEndian and LittleEndian, with their unsafe counter-parts;
- EndianBytes works directly on bytes, and provides submodules BigEndian and LittleEndian, with their unsafe counter-parts;
- EndianBigstring works on bigstrings (Bigarrays of chars), and provides submodules BigEndian and LittleEndian, with their unsafe counter-parts.
This package contains the runtime files.
There are three methods to install libocplib-endian-ocaml on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libocplib-endian-ocaml Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libocplib-endian-ocaml using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libocplib-endian-ocamlInstall libocplib-endian-ocaml Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libocplib-endian-ocaml using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libocplib-endian-ocamlInstall libocplib-endian-ocaml Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libocplib-endian-ocaml using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libocplib-endian-ocamlHow To Uninstall libocplib-endian-ocaml on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libocplib-endian-ocaml package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libocplib-endian-ocamlUninstall libocplib-endian-ocaml And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libocplib-endian-ocaml and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libocplib-endian-ocamlRemove libocplib-endian-ocaml Configurations and Data
To remove libocplib-endian-ocaml configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libocplib-endian-ocamlRemove libocplib-endian-ocaml configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libocplib-endian-ocaml configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libocplib-endian-ocamlDependencies
