How To Install libo2 on Kali Linux

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install libo2 on Kali Linux.

What is libo2

libo2 is:

O2 is a communication protocol for interactive music and media applications. It is inspired by Open Sound Control (OSC) and uses similar means to form addresses, specify types, and encode messages.

In addition to providing message delivery, O2 offers a discovery mechanism where processes automatically discover and connect to other processes. Furthermore, O2 implements a clock synchronization protocol.

O2 is based on IP (Internet Protocol), but there are some mechanisms that allow an O2 process to serve as a bridge to other networks such as Bluetooth.

There are three methods to install libo2 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libo2 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libo2 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libo2

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libo2 using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libo2

How To Uninstall libo2 on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the libo2 package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libo2

Uninstall libo2 And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libo2 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libo2

Remove libo2 Configurations and Data

To remove libo2 configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libo2

Remove libo2 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libo2 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
