How To Install libnss-mdns on Kali Linux

What is libnss-mdns
libnss-mdns is:
nss-mdns is a plugin for the GNU Name Service Switch (NSS) functionality of the GNU C Library (glibc) providing host name resolution via Multicast DNS (using Zeroconf, aka Apple Bonjour / Apple Rendezvous ), effectively allowing name resolution by common Unix/Linux programs in the ad-hoc mDNS domain .local.
There are three methods to install libnss-mdns on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libnss-mdns Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libnss-mdns using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libnss-mdnsInstall libnss-mdns Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libnss-mdns using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libnss-mdns package we can use the following command:
