How To Install libnlopt0 on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libnlopt0 on Kali Linux.
What is libnlopt0
libnlopt0 is:
NLopt is a free/open-source library for nonlinear optimization, providing a common interface for a number of different free optimization routines available online as well as original implementations of various other algorithms. Its features include:
* Callable from C, C++, Fortran, GNU Octave, Python, GNU Guile, GNU R.
* A common interface for many different algorithms
* Support for large-scale optimization.
* Both global and local optimization algorithms.
* Algorithms using function values only (derivative-free) and also
algorithms exploiting user-supplied gradients.
* Algorithms for unconstrained optimization, bound-constrained optimization,
and general nonlinear inequality/equality constraints.
This package provides the shared libraries required to run programs compiled with NLopt. To compile your own programs you also need to install libnlopt-dev.
There are three methods to install libnlopt0 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libnlopt0 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libnlopt0 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libnlopt0Install libnlopt0 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libnlopt0 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libnlopt0Install libnlopt0 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libnlopt0 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libnlopt0How To Uninstall libnlopt0 on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libnlopt0 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libnlopt0Uninstall libnlopt0 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libnlopt0 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libnlopt0Remove libnlopt0 Configurations and Data
To remove libnlopt0 configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libnlopt0Remove libnlopt0 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libnlopt0 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libnlopt0Dependencies
libnlopt0 have the following dependencies:
