What is libnfc5
libnfc5 is:
libnfc is a library for Near Field Communication. It abstracts the low-level details of communicating with the devices away behind an easy-to-use high-level API. It supports most hardware based on the NXP PN531, PN532 or PN533 controller chips.
This package contains the runtime library files needed to run software using libnfc.
There are three methods to install libnfc5
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libnfc5 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libnfc5
using apt-get

To uninstall only the libnfc5
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libnfc5

To uninstall libnfc5
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libnfc5
Remove libnfc5 Configurations and Data

configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
