How To Install libndp-tools on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libndp-tools on Kali Linux.
What is libndp-tools
libndp-tools is:
libndp is a library for the IPv6 Neighbor Discovery Protocol (NDP). It contains functions for building and parsing NDP messages, and provides a high-level interface for sending and receiving NDP messages on a network interface.
This package contains a tool named ndptool for sending and receiving NDP messages.
There are three methods to install libndp-tools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libndp-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libndp-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libndp-toolsInstall libndp-tools Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libndp-tools using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libndp-toolsInstall libndp-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libndp-tools using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the libndp-tools package we can use the following command:
