What is libmusic-dev

libmusic-dev is:

MUSIC allows spike events and continuous time series to be communicated between parallel applications within the same MPI job in a cluster computer. Typical usage cases are connecting models developed for different simulators and connecting a parallel simulator to a post-processing tool.

This package contains the header files which are needed to compile and link programs against libmusic.

There are three methods to install libmusic-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libmusic-dev Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libmusic-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
