How To Install libmtdev-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libmtdev-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libmtdev-dev
libmtdev-dev is:
libmtdev is a library for translating evdev multitouch events using the legacy protocol to the new multitouch slots protocol. This is necessary for kernel drivers that have not been updated to use the newer protocol.
This package contains files that are needed to build applications.
There are three methods to install libmtdev-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmtdev-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmtdev-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libmtdev-devInstall libmtdev-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmtdev-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
