How To Install libmps-dev on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libmps-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libmps-dev
libmps-dev is:
A polynomial rootfinder that can determine arbitrary precision approximations with guaranteed inclusion radii. It supports exploiting of polynomial structures such as sparsisty and allows for polynomial implicitly defined or in some non standard basis.
This package contains the development headers and the .so library.
There are three methods to install libmps-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmps-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmps-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libmps-devInstall libmps-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmps-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libmps-devInstall libmps-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmps-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libmps-devHow To Uninstall libmps-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libmps-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libmps-devUninstall libmps-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libmps-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libmps-devRemove libmps-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libmps-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libmps-devRemove libmps-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libmps-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
