How To Install libmpich-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libmpich-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libmpich-dev
libmpich-dev is:
MPICH is a high-performance and widely portable implementation of the MPI-3.1 standard from the Argonne National Laboratory. It efficiently supports different computation and communication platforms including commodity clusters, SMPs, massively parallel systems, and high-speed networks. This release has all MPI 3.1 functions and features required by the standard with the exception of support for the “external32” portable I/O format and user-defined data representations for I/O.
This package includes the MPICH headers and static libraries, as well as the compiler wrappers needed to build MPICH programs.
There are three methods to install libmpich-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmpich-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmpich-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libmpich-devHow To Uninstall libmpich-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libmpich-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libmpich-devUninstall libmpich-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libmpich-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libmpich-devRemove libmpich-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libmpich-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libmpich-devRemove libmpich-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
