How To Install libmilter-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libmilter-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libmilter-dev
libmilter-dev is:
The Sendmail Mail Filter API (Milter) is designed to allow third-party programs access to mail messages as they are being processed in order to filter meta-information (headers) and content.
The Debian Sendmail package is built to support libmilter.
This is the libmilter static library and include files for development.
The documentation on building a Milter is in the sendmail-doc package.
There are three methods to install libmilter-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmilter-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmilter-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libmilter-devInstall libmilter-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmilter-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libmilter-dev package we can use the following command:
