How To Install libmapsforge-java on Kali Linux

Mapsforge project uses a compact file format for fast ad-hoc rendering of OpenStreetMap data. It provide tools to compile your own maps with detailed instructions and also precompiled maps. It provides simple boilerplate code to build applications that display OpenStreetMap-based maps. It provides a library to build standalone applications in Java.
Mapsforge maps can be flexibly styled with XML style files. It provide tools & library for POI search and also precompiled POI.
There are three methods to install libmapsforge-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libmapsforge-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmapsforge-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libmapsforge-javaInstall libmapsforge-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libmapsforge-java using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
