How To Install libltdl-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libltdl-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libltdl-dev
libltdl-dev is:
This package contains the header files and static libraries for the libltdl package.
A small library that aims at hiding the various difficulties of dlopening libraries from programmers. It is a system independent dlopen wrapper for GNU libtool.
It supports the following dlopen interfaces:
- dlopen (Solaris, Linux and various BSD flavors)
- shl_load (HP-UX)
- LoadLibrary (Win16 and Win32)
- load_add_on (BeOS)
- GNU DLD (emulates dynamic linking for static libraries)
- libtool’s dlpreopen
There are three methods to install libltdl-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libltdl-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libltdl-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libltdl-dev package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libltdl-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libltdl-devRemove libltdl-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libltdl-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
