How To Install liblas-dev on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install liblas-dev on Debian 10.
What is liblas-dev
liblas-dev is:
libLAS is a C/C++ library for reading and writing ASPRS LAS versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 data. The LAS format is a sequential binary format used to store data from sensors and as intermediate processing storage by some LiDAR-related applications. LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is an optical remote sensing technology that measures properties of scattered light to find range and/or other information of a distant target. The prevalent method to determine distance to an object or surface is to use laser pulses.
This package contains the development files to build applications in C++.
There are three methods to install liblas-dev on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install liblas-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install liblas-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install liblas-dev

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install liblas-dev using apt by running the following command:

Install liblas-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install liblas-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install liblas-dev
How To Uninstall liblas-dev on Debian 10
To uninstall only the liblas-dev package we can use the following command:
