How To Install libkxml2-java on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libkxml2-java
libkxml2-java is:
kXML is a small XML pull parser, specially designed for constrained environments such as Applets, Personal Java or MIDP devices. In contrast to kXML 1, kXML 2 is based on the common XML pull API.
Pull based XML parsing combines some of the advantages of SAX and DOM:
- In contrast to push parsers (SAX), pull parsers such as kXML make it possible to model the XML processing routines after the structure of the processed XML document. Events processing is similar to an InputStream. If a part of the stream requires special handling, the parser can simply be delegated to a specialized method by handing over the parser.
- While the above is also possible with an explicit DOM, DOM usually requires that the whole document structure is present in main memory.
- In contrast to DOM based parsing, the XML events are accessible immediately when they are available, it is not necessary to wait for the whole tree to build up.
There are three methods to install libkxml2-java on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libkxml2-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

Install libkxml2-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libkxml2-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libkxml2-java
How To Uninstall libkxml2-java on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libkxml2-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libkxml2-java
Uninstall libkxml2-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libkxml2-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libkxml2-java
Remove libkxml2-java Configurations and Data
To remove libkxml2-java configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libkxml2-java
Remove libkxml2-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libkxml2-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libkxml2-java
