How To Install libjzlib-java on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libjzlib-java on Kali Linux.
What is libjzlib-java
libjzlib-java is:
JZlib is a pure Java implementation of ZLib (see RFC-1950 and RFC-1951).
It supports all compression level and all flushing mode of ZLib and it can inflate and deflate exactly like ZLib does. It provide much more flexibility over ‘java.util.zip.*’ included in Java Platform API.
JZlib is licensed under a BSD style license.
There are three methods to install libjzlib-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjzlib-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjzlib-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjzlib-javaInstall libjzlib-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjzlib-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjzlib-javaInstall libjzlib-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjzlib-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libjzlib-javaHow To Uninstall libjzlib-java on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libjzlib-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libjzlib-javaUninstall libjzlib-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libjzlib-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjzlib-javaRemove libjzlib-java Configurations and Data
To remove libjzlib-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjzlib-javaRemove libjzlib-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libjzlib-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libjzlib-javaDependencies
