How To Install libjstun-java on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libjstun-java on Kali Linux.
What is libjstun-java
libjstun-java is:
“JSTUN” is a Java-based STUN (Simple Traversal of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) Through Network Address Translation (NAT)) implementation.
STUN provides a mean for applications to discover the presence and type of firewalls or NATs between them and the public Internet. Additionally, in presence of a NAT STUN can be used by applications to learn the public Internet Protocol (IP) address assigned to the NAT.
There are three methods to install libjstun-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjstun-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjstun-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjstun-javaInstall libjstun-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjstun-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjstun-javaInstall libjstun-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjstun-java using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libjstun-javaHow To Uninstall libjstun-java on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libjstun-java package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libjstun-javaUninstall libjstun-java And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libjstun-java and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjstun-javaRemove libjstun-java Configurations and Data
To remove libjstun-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjstun-javaRemove libjstun-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libjstun-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
