How To Install libjs-proj4 on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libjs-proj4
libjs-proj4 is:
Proj4js is a JavaScript library to transform point coordinates from one coordinate system to another, including datum transformations.
This library is a port of both the PROJ.4 and GCTCP C libraries to JavaScript. Enabling these transformations in the browser allows geographic data stored in different projections to be combined in browser-based web mapping applications.
Proj4js is a part of the MetaCRS group of projects and uses the same MIT style license as PROJ.4.
This package contains the proj4.js JavaScript library.
There are three methods to install libjs-proj4 on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjs-proj4 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-proj4 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjs-proj4
Install libjs-proj4 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-proj4 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjs-proj4
Install libjs-proj4 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-proj4 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libjs-proj4
How To Uninstall libjs-proj4 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libjs-proj4 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libjs-proj4
Uninstall libjs-proj4 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libjs-proj4 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjs-proj4
Remove libjs-proj4 Configurations and Data
To remove libjs-proj4 configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjs-proj4
Remove libjs-proj4 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libjs-proj4 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libjs-proj4
