How To Install libjs-lunr on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libjs-lunr on Kali Linux.
What is libjs-lunr
libjs-lunr is:
Lunr.js is a small, full-text search library for use in the browser. It indexes JSON documents and provides a simple search interface for retrieving documents that best match text queries.
This package provides Lunr for use directly in web browsers.
Browsers that do not support ES5 will require a JavaScript shim for Lunr to work. You can either use Augment.js, ES5-Shim, or any library that patches old browsers to provide an ES5 compatible JavaScript environment.
There are three methods to install libjs-lunr on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjs-lunr Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjs-lunr using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjs-lunrInstall libjs-lunr Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjs-lunr using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjs-lunrInstall libjs-lunr Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjs-lunr using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libjs-lunrHow To Uninstall libjs-lunr on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libjs-lunr package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libjs-lunrUninstall libjs-lunr And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libjs-lunr and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjs-lunrRemove libjs-lunr Configurations and Data
To remove libjs-lunr configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjs-lunrRemove libjs-lunr configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libjs-lunr configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libjs-lunrDependencies
