How To Install libjs-less on Kali Linux

What is libjs-less

libjs-less is:

LESS is a meta-language on top of CSS that??s used to describe the style of a document cleanly and structurally, with more power than flat CSS allows. LESS both provides a simpler, more elegant syntax for CSS and implements various features that are useful for creating manageable stylesheets.

less.js is the reference implementation of LESS, written in JavaScript.

This package contains the less.js library usable for dynamic parsing of LESS in a web browser.

There are three methods to install libjs-less on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libjs-less Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libjs-less using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libjs-less

Install libjs-less Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libjs-less using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libjs-less

Install libjs-less Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libjs-less using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libjs-less

How To Uninstall libjs-less on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the libjs-less package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libjs-less

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjs-less

To remove libjs-less configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libjs-less
