What is libjs-coffeescript

CoffeeScript is a little language that compiles into JavaScript. Underneath all of those embarrassing braces and semicolons, JavaScript has always had a gorgeous object model at its heart. CoffeeScript is an attempt to expose the good parts of JavaScript in a simple way.
The golden rule of CoffeeScript is: “It’s just JavaScript”. The code compiles one-to-one into the equivalent JS, and there is no interpretation at runtime. You can use any existing JavaScript library seamlessly (and vice-versa). The compiled output is readable and pretty-printed, passes through JavaScript Lint without warnings, will work in every JavaScript implementation, and tends to run as fast or faster than the equivalent handwritten JavaScript.
This package contains a concatenated and compressed version of the CoffeeScript compiler. To use it in the browser, include the script after any inline script tags of type “text/coffeescript” on the page. It will compile and evaluate all of the scripts in order.
There are three methods to install libjs-coffeescript on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjs-coffeescript Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-coffeescript using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjs-coffeescript

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-coffeescript using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjs-coffeescript
Install libjs-coffeescript Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libjs-coffeescript using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libjs-coffeescript
How To Uninstall libjs-coffeescript on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libjs-coffeescript package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libjs-coffeescript
Uninstall libjs-coffeescript And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libjs-coffeescript and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjs-coffeescript
Remove libjs-coffeescript Configurations and Data
To remove libjs-coffeescript configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjs-coffeescript
Remove libjs-coffeescript configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libjs-coffeescript configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libjs-coffeescript
