How To Install libjlayer-java on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libjlayer-java on Kali Linux.
What is libjlayer-java
libjlayer-java is:
JAVA library that decodes, converts and plays MP3 files in real-time. JLayer supports MPEG 1/2/2.5 Layer 1/2/3 audio format. JLayer doesn’t need JMF. It runs under J2SE.
There are three methods to install libjlayer-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjlayer-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjlayer-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjlayer-javaInstall libjlayer-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjlayer-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjlayer-javaInstall libjlayer-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libjlayer-java package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjlayer-javaRemove libjlayer-java Configurations and Data
To remove libjlayer-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjlayer-javaRemove libjlayer-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
