How To Install libjebl2-java on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libjebl2-java on Kali Linux.
What is libjebl2-java
libjebl2-java is:
A Java library for evolutionary biology and bioinformatics, including objects representing biomolecular sequences, multiple sequence alignments and phylogenetic trees.
This is a branch of the original JEBL on http://sourceforge.net/projects/jebl/ to develop a new API and class library.
There are three methods to install libjebl2-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjebl2-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjebl2-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjebl2-javaInstall libjebl2-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjebl2-java using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libjebl2-javaInstall libjebl2-java Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libjebl2-java package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libjebl2-javaRemove libjebl2-java Configurations and Data
To remove libjebl2-java configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libjebl2-javaRemove libjebl2-java configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libjebl2-java configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
