How To Install libjasypt-java on Kali Linux

What is libjasypt-java
libjasypt-java is:
Jasypt is a java library which allows the developer to add basic encryption capabilities to projects.
It provides :
- High-security, standards-based encryption techniques, both for unidirectional and bidirectional encryption.
- Transparent integration with Hibernate.
- Suitable for integration into Spring-based applications and also transparently integrable with Spring Security.
- Integrated capabilities for encrypting the configuration of applications (i.e. datasources).
- Specific features for high-performance encryption in multi-processor/multi-core systems.
- Open API for use with any JCE provider.
There are three methods to install libjasypt-java on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libjasypt-java Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjasypt-java using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libjasypt-javaInstall libjasypt-java Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libjasypt-java using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
