How To Install libisl-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libisl-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libisl-dev
libisl-dev is:
isl is a library for manipulating sets and relations of integer points bounded by linear constraints. Supported operations on sets include intersection, union, set difference, emptiness check, convex hull, (integer) affine hull, integer projection, and computing the lexicographic minimum using parametric integer programming. It also includes an ILP solver based on generalized basis reduction.
This package contains the development files.
There are three methods to install libisl-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libisl-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libisl-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libisl-devInstall libisl-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libisl-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libisl-devInstall libisl-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libisl-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libisl-devHow To Uninstall libisl-dev on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the libisl-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libisl-devUninstall libisl-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libisl-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libisl-devRemove libisl-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libisl-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libisl-devRemove libisl-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
