How To Install libiio-utils on Ubuntu 20.04

What is libiio-utils
libiio-utils is:
Libiio is a library that has been conceived to ease the development of applications interfacing Industrial Input/Output (IIO) devices through the IIO subsystem of the Linux kernel.
This package contains several basic utilities for testing libiio.
There are three methods to install libiio-utils
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libiio-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libiio-utils
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libiio-utils

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libiio-utils
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libiio-utils
Install libiio-utils Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libiio-utils
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libiio-utils
How To Uninstall libiio-utils on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libiio-utils
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libiio-utils
Uninstall libiio-utils And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libiio-utils
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libiio-utils
Remove libiio-utils Configurations and Data
To remove libiio-utils
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libiio-utils
Remove libiio-utils configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
