In this tutorial we learn how to install libidn2
on CentOS 7.
What is libidn2
Libidn2 is an implementation of the IDNA2008 specifications in RFC 5890, 5891, 5892, 5893 and TR46 for internationalized domain names (IDN). It is a standalone library, without any dependency on libidn.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install libidn2
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libidn2.
Install libidn2 on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install libidn2
using yum
by running the following command:
Install libidn2 on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
