How To Install libical2-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libical2-dev
libical2-dev is:
libical is an open source implementation of the IETF’s iCalendar calendaring and scheduling protocols (RFC 2445, 2446, and 2447). It parses iCal components and provides a C API for manipulating the component properties, parameters, and subcomponents.
There are three methods to install libical2-dev
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libical2-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libical2-dev
using apt-get

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libical2-dev
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libical2-dev
Install libical2-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libical2-dev
using aptitude

How To Uninstall libical2-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libical2-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libical2-dev

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libical2-dev
Remove libical2-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libical2-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libical2-dev
Remove libical2-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
