How To Install libiberty-dev on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install libiberty-dev on Debian 10.
What is libiberty-dev
libiberty-dev is:
The libib library is a collection of subroutines used by various GNU programs, which are missing or broken on some systems.
This library shouldn’t be used by other software, but unfortunately already is. There is no guaranty for a stable library API, and no shared library is provided.
There are three methods to install libiberty-dev on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libiberty-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libiberty-dev using apt by running the following command:

Install libiberty-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libiberty-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libiberty-dev
