How To Install libhmmer2-dev on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install libhmmer2-dev on Debian 10.
What is libhmmer2-dev
libhmmer2-dev is:
HMMER is an implementation of profile hidden Markov model methods for sensitive searches of biological sequence databases using multiple sequence alignments as queries.
Given a multiple sequence alignment as input, HMMER builds a statistical model called a “hidden Markov model” which can then be used as a query into a sequence database to find (and/or align) additional homologues of the sequence family.
This package contains header files and static library that can be used to link against libhmmer.
There are three methods to install libhmmer2-dev on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libhmmer2-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libhmmer2-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
