How To Install libguestfs-tools on Ubuntu 18.04

libguestfs-tools is:
The libguestfs library allows accessing and modifying guest disk images.
This package contains the guestfish interactive shell and various virtualization tools, including virt-cat, virt-df, virt-edit, virt-filesystems, virt-inspector, virt-ls, virt-make-fs, virt-rescue, virt-resize, virt-tar, and virt-win-reg.
There are three methods to install libguestfs-tools on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libguestfs-tools using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libguestfs-tools
How To Uninstall libguestfs-tools on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libguestfs-tools package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libguestfs-tools
Uninstall libguestfs-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libguestfs-tools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libguestfs-tools
Remove libguestfs-tools Configurations and Data
To remove libguestfs-tools configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libguestfs-tools
Remove libguestfs-tools configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libguestfs-tools configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
