Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libguess on CentOS 7.
What is libguess
libguess employs discrete-finite automata to deduce the character set of the input buffer. The advantage of this is that all character sets can be checked in parallel, and quickly. Right now, libguess passes a byte to each DFA on the same pass, meaning that the winning character set can be deduced as efficiently as possible. libguess is fully reentrant, using only local stack memory for DFA operations.
We can use yum or dnf to install libguess on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install libguess.
Install libguess on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install libguess using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install libguess
Install libguess on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install libguess using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install libguess
How To Uninstall libguess on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the libguess package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove libguess
