How To Install libgsasl-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libgsasl-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libgsasl-dev
libgsasl-dev is:
GNU SASL is an implementation of the Simple Authentication and Security Layer framework and a few common SASL mechanisms. SASL is used by network servers (e.g., IMAP, SMTP) to request authentication from clients, and in clients to authenticate against servers.
This package contain all files necessary for developing programs that use GNU SASL. You will need this package if you want to build a program that uses the GNU SASL library.
There are three methods to install libgsasl-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgsasl-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgsasl-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libgsasl-devInstall libgsasl-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgsasl-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libgsasl-dev package we can use the following command:
