How To Install libgs-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

What is libgs-dev
libgs-dev is:
GPL Ghostscript is used for PostScript/PDF preview and printing. Usually as a back-end to a program such as ghostview, it can display PostScript and PDF documents in an X11 environment.
This package provides the development files for the GPL Ghostscript library which makes the facilities of GPL Ghostscript available to applications.
There are three methods to install libgs-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgs-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libgs-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgs-dev
How To Uninstall libgs-dev on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libgs-dev package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgs-dev
Uninstall libgs-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgs-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgs-dev
Remove libgs-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libgs-dev configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgs-dev
