How To Install libgnupg-perl on Debian 9

on Debian 9.
What is libgnupg-perl
libgnupg-perl is:
GnuPG is a Perl module that provides a limited programmatic interface to the GNU Privacy Guard program. It uses the coprocess hook system provided by gpg and communicates using shared memory. It attempts to map the interactive interface offered by the gpg command-line tool to a more programmatic API.
This module is compatible with the “classic” 1.4 version of gnupg only. It does not work with modern gnupg 2.1x currently.
There are three methods to install libgnupg-perl
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgnupg-perl
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgnupg-perl
How To Uninstall libgnupg-perl on Debian 9
To uninstall only the libgnupg-perl
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libgnupg-perl
Uninstall libgnupg-perl And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libgnupg-perl
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgnupg-perl
Remove libgnupg-perl Configurations and Data
To remove libgnupg-perl
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgnupg-perl
Remove libgnupg-perl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
