How To Install libgloox-dev on Kali Linux

What is libgloox-dev
libgloox-dev is:
A C++ Jabber/XMPP library that takes care of low level protocol stuff. Additionally, it offers high level interfaces for interaction with an XMPP server.
It is a fully compliant XMPP Core and supports various JEPs, mainly those needed to implement a XMPP IM client.
This package contains files needed for development with this library.
There are three methods to install libgloox-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgloox-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgloox-dev using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the libgloox-dev package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libgloox-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgloox-devRemove libgloox-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libgloox-dev configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgloox-devRemove libgloox-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
