How To Install libgl1-mesa-dri on Debian 9

In this tutorial we learn how to install libgl1-mesa-dri on Debian 9.
What is libgl1-mesa-dri
libgl1-mesa-dri is:
This version of Mesa provides GLX and DRI capabilities: it is capable of both direct and indirect rendering. For direct rendering, it can use DRI modules from the libgl1-mesa-dri package to accelerate drawing.
This package does not include the OpenGL library itself, only the DRI modules for accelerating direct rendering.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgl1-mesa-dri using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgl1-mesa-dri using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install libgl1-mesa-dri using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libgl1-mesa-dri
How To Uninstall libgl1-mesa-dri on Debian 9
To uninstall only the libgl1-mesa-dri package we can use the following command:
