How To Install libgflags-dev on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libgflags-dev on Kali Linux.
What is libgflags-dev
libgflags-dev is:
gflags is a library that implements commandline flags processing. As such it’s a replacement for getopt(). It has increased flexibility, including built-in support for C++ types like string, and the ability to define flags in the source file in which they’re used.
This package contains development libraries and header files.
There are three methods to install libgflags-dev on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgflags-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgflags-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libgflags-devInstall libgflags-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgflags-dev using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
