libgdcm3.0 is:
Grassroots DiCoM is a C++ library for DICOM medical files. It is automatically wrapped to python/C#/Java (using swig). It supports RAW,JPEG (lossy/lossless),J2K,JPEG-LS, RLE and deflated. It also comes with DICOM Part 3,6 & 7 of the standard as XML files.
This package contains the libraries needed to run GDCM applications.
There are three methods to install libgdcm3.0
on Debian 11. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install libgdcm3.0 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libgdcm3.0
using apt-get

sudo apt-get -y install libgdcm3.0
Install libgdcm3.0 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libgdcm3.0
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libgdcm3.0
Install libgdcm3.0 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libgdcm3.0
using aptitude

How To Uninstall libgdcm3.0 on Debian 11
To uninstall only the libgdcm3.0
