How To Install libgdbm6 on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install libgdbm6 on Kali Linux.
What is libgdbm6
libgdbm6 is:
GNU dbm (‘gdbm’) is a library of database functions that use extendible hashing and works similarly to the standard UNIX ‘dbm’ functions.
The basic use of ‘gdbm’ is to store key/data pairs in a data file, thus providing a persistent version of the ‘dictionary’ Abstract Data Type (‘hash’ to perl programmers).
There are three methods to install libgdbm6 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libgdbm6 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install libgdbm6 using apt-get by running the following command:

To uninstall only the libgdbm6 package we can use the following command:

To uninstall libgdbm6 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libgdbm6Remove libgdbm6 Configurations and Data
To remove libgdbm6 configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libgdbm6Remove libgdbm6 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
